What is Trivix?+
Trivix is a live trivia platform. Build a team, join a game at a participating venue, and answer questions in real time from your phone.
How do I play?+
Create an account, head to Play, and join with the 6-character code your host shares — you can jump in any time, even after the game has already started. Questions appear on your device; lock in your answers before the host reveals each one.
How do I join or create a team?+
Open the Team tab once you’re signed in. You can start a new team and invite friends, or join an existing one.
Who submits answers for my team?+
If you’re on a team, one person is the captain and submits the answers for everyone. No captain yet? Anyone can tap “Be captain.” To take over mid-game, tap “Take over as captain” — the current captain gets a quick prompt to allow it, and it switches automatically after 30 seconds if they don’t respond.
How do I become a host?+
From your profile, request host access and tell us about your venue. An admin reviews every application and follows up for payment before your hosting is activated.
Is there a cost to host?+
Yes. After you submit a host application, an admin will review it and follow up directly with payment details.
What kinds of games can I create?+
Two kinds. A full game stores your questions and answers in Trivix and scores players automatically. A scorecard is just the structure — rounds, answer slots and points — for when you run the questions yourself (aloud or on a screen) and let Trivix keep score.
Can I preview a game before I host it?+
Yes. Open the game in Host tools and choose “Preview this game” to step through it exactly as your players will see it. Nothing is saved or scored.
Which venues can I host at?+
Any venue in the system — it doesn’t have to be one you created — or add a new venue right from the start-game screen.
Can I fix a team's score during a game?+
Yes. You can grade or re-grade any round, current or earlier, right up until the game ends. Corrections update team totals automatically.
Can I add other hosts to my account?+
Yes. Note it on your host application. Sub-hosts you add inherit access to your venues and games.
How do I update my account details?+
Use Edit on your profile to update your name, username, or phone. If you need something we don’t expose there, reach out through Contact Support.
How do I delete my account?+
Request deletion from your profile. An admin will review and finalize the request.
